The Tuscaloosa County Bar Association will hold its annual meeting at Noon on August 24, 2023 at The Loft (502 Greensboro Ave., Tuscaloosa).
We will have UA Law School Dean Brewbaker, and a representative from the United Way come to speak, and we will apply for 1hr of MCLE credit.
Nominations from members are now being accepted for this years elections. In order to nominate and to vote, you must be a member in good standing with the Alabama and Tuscaloosa County Bar Associations.
We will have elections for our President, Vice-President and Secretary/Treasurer for 2023-2024 as well as elections for 2 seats on the TCBA Executive Committee (3 year term), 3 seats on the Public Defender's Commission (1 year term), and 1 seats on the Judicial Commission seats for Domestic Relations (6 year term) and, 1 seat on the Judicial Commission for Criminal practice (6 year term).

For Judicial Commission: Kayla Griffin (Domestic Relations) and Jason Neff (Criminal)
HOW TO SUBMIT ADDITIONAL NOMINATIONS
Any member may submit additional nominations in writing via email to the current President, Elizabeth Glasscox (elizabeth@glasscoxlaw.com) with a copy to the current Secretary, Rachel Blume (rachel@blumelaw.net).
Nominees for all seats must be in good standing with the Alabama and Tuscaloosa County Bar Associations, and additional nominees for any position of Officer or Member of the Executive Committee may be nominated, upon the concurrence of five (5) Regular Members. Nominations for all officer positions and committees must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on August 10 in order for the nominees name to be verified to be included on the ballot.
VOTING PERIOD
After the time for additional nominations has closed, voting will be held from August 11 to August 17, 2023. Voting will be conducted via electronic ballot using Election Buddy which will e-mail all eligible members a one-time private voting link the morning of the election.
